Lori Sipe
Advisor
After working as an executive in the attractions industry for more than 20 years, Lori remains committed to inspiring leadership in the memories business through her teaching, research, and industry projects. She currently teaches leadership, innovation, and accounting courses in the undergraduate and graduate degree programs at the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University. Lori’s research focuses on innovation and strategic leadership of organizations whose main economic offering is an experience. Her work has been presented at international conferences and published in scholarly journals and industry-related periodicals. She designed and facilitates the annual Institute for Executive Education for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

Welcome to SCREAM! My name is Emily Sanchez and I'm a 3rd year HTM Meeting & Events major! I aspire to work in the attractions industry, managing events for companies like Universal Studios or Disney. I'm eager to lead students to opportunities in the live events, entertainment, and attractions industry. I've been on the board for a year and I've learned so much from my fellow board members. Being in SCREAM has truly been an unforgettable experience from our weekly meetings to our on-campus fundraisers to our super fun trips. I never thought I would find a group of people who are just as passionate as I am! I'm so grateful to take on the role as President this year and I promise to make this year great!

My name is Alexis Zbinden, a 4TH year HTM major with an emphasis in Meetings and Events. As the VP for SCREAM, I am so excited to lead some amazing plans this year! I am also looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends.

My name is Natalia and I'm a 4th year HTM Meetings and Events student! My dream job is to work at Disney, planning events/live production entertainment. Since I was a kid, Disney has always created memories for me and I want to do that for other people! I'm excited to create content for our socials!

Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm a 3rd year HTM student. I'm very excited to be the new event coordinator for SCREAM! I look forward to getting to know more students involved with different attractions around San Diego. More importantly, I'm excited to make new friends along the way!

My name is Vanessa Sarinana, a 3rd year RTM major with an emphasis in Sustainable Tourism.  As a trip planner, I'm excited to create and organize excursions that will bring positive experiences for everyone!

Membership and Recruitment Director
The Membership and Recruitment Director will work in tandem with all members of SCREAM to promote engagement for the organization. They will communicate with the executive board to interpret SCREAM’s Mission and Vision throughout the Payne School and SDSU as a campus. They will be responsible for tabling at Payne School-organized events and they will be responsible for attending classroom pop-ins.

PSFA Liaison
The PSFA Liaison will attend the PSFA Council weekly meetings. Meetings are TBD during the ‘23-’24 academic year. The PSFA Liaison will represent SCREAM on this council, advertising events and opportunities for collaboration with other PSFA organizations. They will report to the SCREAM board during weekly meetings about the PSFA council’s business.
